First Holy Communion Sessions

Event Details

Our parish will soon celebrate First Holy Communion, when our children are admitted to the “marriage supper of the Lamb” and receive the Body and Blood of Christ as the food of new life. 

Receiving the Eucharist is not only a special ceremony—it deepens their union with Jesus Christ, since whoever receives his Body and Blood “abides in me, and I in him.” It also helps them share more fully in the Church, being formed into one Body with Christ. 

As part of their preparation, children must receive the Sacrament of Penance before making their First Communion. This sacrament prepares their hearts to receive with reverence, love, and grace.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PROGRAM: 

All preparation sessions will be held on WEDNESDAYS with two time slots to choose from: 5:00 – 6:30pm or 7:00 – 8:30pm 

• Session 1: 22 JULY 
• Session 2: 29 JULY 
• Session 3: 05 AUGUST 
• Session 4: 12 AUGUST 

Venue: Parish Pastoral Centre. 

Rehearsal: Thursday – 20 August at 6pm – 7pm 

First Holy Communion Mass on Sunday, 23 August at 3pm.
